Protista
Crysophyta
Diatom
It is microscopic and is
mostly a golden color.
It has a cell wall with silica (note #1 in
pic).

Protista
Chlorophyta
Spirogyra with oxygen bubbles from
undergoing photosynthesis
It undergoes sexual reproduction
They are
isogamists (sexes unknown)
They have spiraling chloroplasts

Protista
Chlorophyta
Oedogonium
It is heterogamous
Can tell the difference in sexes
Male gamete-
antheridium sperm (#1 in pic)
Female gamete- oogonium egg (#2 in
pic)

Protista
Phaeophyta
Brown Algae Fucus
Some parts they
have are: the hold fast, stipe, thallus, air bladder, conceptacles, and
receptacles.
The swollen ends are called receptacles.
Receptacles contain
the conceptacles, represented by little dots on the end.
Inside the
conceptacles are the antheridium and oogonium.

Protista
Chlorophyta
Spirogyra
It undergoes sexual
repoduction or conjugation.
It has spiral chloroplast.
They are isogamies-
The sexes can not be distinguished.

Protista
Algae
It is found in damp shaded
environments.
They are formed from spores.
Very colorful.
The adult
algae are non-motile.
They have chlorophyll (photosynthesis)
They are
autotrophic
Varieties of sizes.

Protista
Crysophyta
Vaucheria
Yellow-green algae
Their
parts: 1) The conjugation tube, 2) The antheridia, & 3) The oogonium
They
reproduce asexually

Protista
Chlorophyta
Spirogyra
They are isogamic
They
have sexual reproduction
1) Conjugation tube
2) Zygote
3)
Chloroplast

Protista
Phylum
Protozoa.
Ciliata
Paramecium
Binary Fission is occurring in the
slide.
Has cilia hairlike motion.
